ROOT & RENEW

Affordable • Precise • Designed to plant right
SeedShift is a manual-first, power-optional precision seeder that helps farmers plant correctly, waste fewer seeds, and grow more with less environmental impact.
The Problem
Irregular seed spacing forces
farmers into a costly cycle of
over-applying fertilizers and
chemicals to save lagging plants.
This inefficiency demands extra
tractor passes and manual labor,
significantly increasing fuel
emissions, resource waste,
and operational expenses
throughout the entire
growing season.

In regions like Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, smallholders provide up to 70-80% of the food people eat. However, they face serious difficulties in terms of efficiency and profit, all starting from the way they plant their seeds.

In Thailand alone, a market where the problem is concentrated and urgent, 5 million smallholder families rely on hand-sowing or outdated farming techniques such as wooden plows and hand hoes for large farm fields up to 0.16 - 0.8 hectares.

The SeedShift Solution
SeedShift is an accurate, affordable precision seeder designed specifically for smallholder farms. Its dual-delivery system synchronizes precision seed placement with localized soil conditioning in a single pass, ensuring consistent seed spacing, controlled planting depth, and optimized soil conditions at the moment of germination.
By aligning mechanical placement with early biological support,
SeedShift creates uniform crop establishment from the start,
preventing inefficiencies before they cascade into replanting,
excess input use, higher fuel consumption, and avoidable emissions.
Unlike existing tools that treat planting and soil preparation as separate
steps, SeedShift integrates both functions at the point of delivery, improving
early plant vigor, input efficiency, and yield reliability under real smallholder
field conditions.

How Our Product Works

Step 1: Load and set inputs
Fill the seed hopper and select the rotary plate. Adjust target spacing and planting depth using the mechanical depth controller.
Step 2: Begin the pass
Push SeedShift across the field. The ground-driven wheel powers the metering system.
Step 3: Precision metering and placement
The metering mechanism releases seeds at a consistent rate. A furrow opener creates a narrow slot, placing each seed precisely at the set depth.
Step 4: Dual-delivery at germination
At the moment of seed placement, SeedShift applies localized soil conditioning around the seed zone. This optimizes soil contact, structure, and early root environment.
Step 5: Cover and stabilize
The soil-covering mechanism closes the furrow and firms the soil, locking in moisture and promoting uniform germination.
